Student Counseling Services provides liaison and consultation services for university colleges, departments, units, offices and registered student organizations (RSOs).
The liaison relationship is a mutual, ongoing, dialogue exchange between a Student Counseling Services staff representative and a departmental unit or student group within the campus community. These relationships facilitate open communication and resource sharing in order to enhance the overall community life for Illinois State staff and students. Counseling Services staff may provide consultation services, resource contacts, and/or programming to a liaison relationship, depending upon the needs of each unit/group. Current liaison relationships include (but are not limited to):
Could your student organization benefit from learning how to resolve conflict? Might your department or unit need help in building better team morale and enhancing communication? Counseling Services staff is available to assist groups by serving as advocates, information specialists, trainers, joint problem solvers, resource contacts or process observers. In the past, student groups and university departments have sought consultation services for difficulties in the areas of administration, communication, conflict resolution, human relations, program development and evaluation, and team building.
