University life presents students with academic challenges. If these challenges are handled well, they will help you develop valuable skills for future success.
Academic difficulties may occur due to the interference of personal problems such as depression, anxiety, or relationship problems. If you believe these issues may be affecting your school work, please come to the Student Counseling Center and talk to a staff member who can help you sort out your performance problems.
On the other hand, academic difficulties may occur because a person lacks specific skills, knowledge base, or just needs some problem-solving help. If you believe your difficulties lie here, you should make use of the following services provided through University College:
The Developmental Math unit of University College offers courses in Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, and College Algebra. Instructors are student-centered and and the atmosphere is friendly and conducive to learning. |
